About
MC Pixel Art is a free Minecraft pixel art generator, image converter and schematic exporter. It runs entirely in your browser using a local Web Worker — images and settings are processed on your device and never uploaded to a server.
The block palette is versioned from 1.13 to 26.2 and covers both Java and Bedrock editions. Color matching runs in the OKLab color space, and results can be exported as a PNG with a material list, a .schem file for WorldEdit, or a .litematic file for Litematica.
MC Pixel Art is not an official Minecraft product and is not affiliated with Mojang or Microsoft.
Why I built this
I was building a pixel art wall in my own world from a reference photo, placing blocks by eye against a flat PNG on a second screen. It works, but it’s slow, and it’s easy to lose your place — miscount one row and the whole thing drifts. A picture alone doesn’t tell you which row you’re on or what you still need for it. So I added the chunk-by-chunk build guide you see in the tool now, on top of the usual PNG and material list export, and kept building the rest of the converter around that same idea: get you from a photo to something you can actually place block by block, not just a picture of blocks.
